MYEEP in SF/Career Day

MYEEP in San Francisco is our annual winter career day event when hundreds of MYEEP youth enter businesses and organizations across the city to get a glimpse into the careers and jobs that will one day be available to them. Youth are given the opportunity to talk with professionals about their career paths, gain insight into various careers, and participate in interactive activities that are representative of those careers. Our 2012 MYEEP in SF event will be happening on February 17, 2012.

University Day

University Day invites MYEEP youth to invade UC Berkeley’s annual open house in order to gain a first-person experience of college life. Youth will talk to current college students and professors, attend classes, visit residence facilities, learn about extracurricular activities, and gain further insight into attending college. Our 2012 University Day will be happening on April 21, 2012.

BizAcademy

BizAcademy is a five-day intensive course designed to teach basic business and entrepreneurial skills to San Francisco high school students during their Spring Break. 15 MYEEP youth form “consulting companies” to address issues ranging from employee productivity to greening businesses. Funded by a grant from the Salesforce Foundation, the program helps youth to develop marketing, sales, public speaking, and financial skills. Local business leaders and Salesforce.com volunteers are on-site to mentor students throughout the week. Our 2012 BizAcademy will be happening March 23rd through March 29th.
